The Shaler Rotary club co-sponsored the event with Cable Orthodontics and teamed up with local author and Rotarian, Tamara Girardi. Tamara read her children’s book titled Why Daddy Why? to the Pre-K and Kindergarten classes at Blessed Trinity Academy. The children had the opportunity to ask the author questions and she shared with them her inspiration for writing the book. The children were excited to each receive a copy of the book donated by the Shaler Rotary to take home with them. Supporting basic education and literacy is one of the seven areas of focus of Rotary and this was the second of three such projects in the Shaler Area community. The next Literacy project will be coming up at Reserve Primary School. Tamara will be joining our club at our next meeting as a guest speaker to share more about her Literacy projects and published works. The meeting will take place at the Shaler North Hills Library on Wednesday, April 26th, at 6PM in the Large Print Room.
