Thank you, Shaler North Hills Library, for hosting this week’s Rotary meeting. We had an all-star lineup of guest speakers. Tamara Girardi, Rotarian and local author, who teamed up with Shaler Rotary for our recent literacy projects shared with us her story for how the Literacy project took root and she shared with us her journey on becoming a published author. Her published works include the children’s book Why? Daddy Why? and a 4 book Iron Valley Series and 2 book Carnivalesque series which are two young-adult contemporary series. Sharon McRae, Director of the Library, shared the many wonderful programs that the library offers, and she did not disappoint with her enthusiastic book recommendations. If you haven’t visited the library recently, I’d highly recommend a visit. It’s truly wonderful community “Hub” in Shaler Township.
