2012 HAPPY NEW YEAR
December was an very interesting and exciting month for The Shaler Area Rotary. We were able to participate in several community events as well as having our own Christmas party where we were entertained by The Shaler High School Girls Choir. We also reflected back to just some of the things we were able to help with in 2011. We collected over $6,000. from our membership to give to the Etna Food Bank, We provided two scholarships to Shaler Area High School students, We volunteered to help the local meals on wheels program, We were also able to provide financial assistance to the Cheery City Fire Department, The North Hills Community Outreach, The Salvation Army, The Shaler Library, The Etna Light Up Night, The Shaler EMS, Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera program for Shaler Middle School Students, The Shaler Area Special needs soccer program, and Holy Family Institute. We were able to help all of these organization through our efforts of raising money though our annual Shaler Area Rotary Golf Outing. We were very busy in 2011 and we are glad to be able to do so much for the community.

We Need Speakers
Speakers enlighten us to what is going on in our community. They also give us exposure to organizations that are not aware of all we do. Please let us know of any potential speaker to address our club.
