The Shaler Area Rotary club was happy to commit $5000 to the North Hills Community Outreach to support their relief efforts in Millvale. The club was also able to help secure funding with help from the previous Millvale Rotary club for an additional $20,000 to go toward flood relief. The effort involved a great amount

We wanted to thank everyone who helped out to make the 2017 Millvale backpack block party a success. Over 200 backpacks filled with school supplies were donated to local children. Recent Shaler grad, Sara Walker, visited our club and was joined with her proud parents, Gavin and Jeanette. We wish her the best of luck on her collegiate journey. She will be attending Grove City and we look forward to hearing of her progress and achievements.

We had a memorable meeting today and we were happy to present Conner with his new adaptive bike. We want to thank Variety the Children’s Charity for teaming up with our Rotary club and to thank everyone who contributed to our fundraising efforts to make this happen. It was a great day! Heather Robinson from Hugh O’Brien Youth leadership organization( also known as HOBY) shared with us her personal experience going to this program as a high school student in 2002 and how it positively changed her life. Council Members of the Etna Borough were officially inducted as a corporate membership into the Shaler Rotary club during January’s evening meeting held at Silvioni’s restaurant. Our club welcomed guest speaker, Joe Johnson, of Shaler EMS. He has been serving our community for 24 years. Shaler EMS is now providing emergency services for Etna Borough.
